KEEFEKTIFAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL DITINJAU DARI KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR

The problem in this research is to get the answer is there any significant influence (1) teaching learning model of problem solving towards the ability to complete items, (2) the autonomic study towards the ability to complete items and (3) the interaction bedween teaching learning model of problem solving and the autonomic study towards the ability to complete items. Teaching learning model of problem solving uses Polya’s steps guidance, concept map and the windows technique. Based on the theoritical framework, the alternative hypothesis is put forward “ there is sigificant influence (1) teaching learning model of problem solving towards the ability to complete items, (2) the autonomic study towards the ability to complete items and (3) the interaction teaching learning model of problem solving and the autonomic study towards the ability to complete items. A quasi experiment was conducted using cluster random sample. It is established two of five population classes to get 90 students as experimental group and 91 students control group. The instrument to know the degree of autonomic study and the test to know the ability to complete items has been tested on. The result of unbalanced two way analysis of variance uses 5% significant level of observation data it shows is rejected, is accepted and is accepted. It means (1) there is significant influence on teaching learning model of problem solving toward the ability to complete items, (2) there is no significant influence on autonomic study toward the ability to complete items and (3) there is no interaction between teaching learning model of problem solving and autonomic study toward to complete items. From the field finding and based on the theoritical base, it can be estimated that the difference of autonomic study degree has been neutralized by group discussion in classroom so that the second null hipothesis is accepted. From this research it is recommended (1) in order that the Lecturer develops more the model of teaching learning of problem solving that is creative innovative, (2) the other researcher need consider in selecting variable “ the autonomic study” and (treatment) of “classroom group discussion”.
