Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) disertai media audio-visual pada materi pokok gejala atmosfer serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan. (2) Mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) disertai media audio-visual pada materi pokok gejala atmosfer serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan.
Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura tahun ajaran 2014/2015 sebanyak 33 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Tes untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa, (2) Lembar observasi untuk mengukur motivasi belajar siswa. Validitas instrumen yang digunakan adalah validitas isi dan validitas konstruk.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) disertai media audio visual dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIIF SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura pada materi pokok gejala atmosfer serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan; (2) penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) disertai media audio visual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIIF SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura pada materi pokok gejala atmosfer serta dampaknya terhadap kehidupan. Motivasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari 72,7% siswa mempunyai motivasi tinggi pada siklus I menjadi 100% pada siklus II. Perolehan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat dari 60,6% pada siklus I menjadi 81,8% siswa telah mencapai KKM pada siklus II. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) disertai media audio visual mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura tahun ajaran 2014/2015
The purpose of this research is to: (1) determine the improvement of student motivation in class VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) accompanied by audio-visual media on the subject matter of the symptoms of the atmosphere and its impact on life; (2) determine the improvement of student learning outcome in class VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL)accompanied by audio-visual media on the subject matter of the symptoms of the atmosphere and its impact on life.
This type of research is a class action (Classroom Action Research). Subjects were students of class VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura 2014/2015 school year as many as 33 students. Data collection instruments in this research are: (1) test to measure student learning outcomes, (2) sheet observations to measure student motivation. The validity of the instruments used is content validity and construct validity.
The results showed that the: (1) implementation of the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) accompanied by audio-visual media can increase student motivation in class VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura on the subject matter of the symptoms of the atmosphere and its impact on life; (2) implementation of the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) accompanied by audio-visual media can increase student learning outcomes in class VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura on the subject matter of the symptoms of the atmosphere and its impact on life. Students' motivation has increased from 72.7% of students have a high motivation in the first cycle to 100% in the second cycle. Acquisition of learning outcomes of students also increased from 60.6% in the first cycle to 81.8% of students had reached KKM in the second cycle. The conclusions of this research is the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) accompanied by audio-visual media can increase motivation and learning outcomes of students of class VII F SMP Negeri 3 Kartasura academic year 2014/2015
