Abstract

This research develops an optimization model of supplier selection and order allocation with a multi-objective function, namely the total cost which considers the cost of carbon emission and the total purchase value. These carbon emissions caused by activity of procurement, ordering, transportation and holding of inventory. The cost of carbon emissions is depending on three policies, namely cap and trade policies, strict carbon restrictions and carbon tax rates for each carbon emission produced. The model includes order allocation, the amount of inventory, and shortage as the decision variables. The total costs calculated are purchase cost, ordering cost, transportation cost, holding cost, shortage cost and carbon emission cost. While the total purchase value is determined by multiplying order allocation with the supplier score. Based on the numerical example with three scenarios, the total cost and total purchase value of scenario 1 are IDR 3,886,544,000 and 190,560 kg, total cost and total purchase value of scenario 2 IDR 3,844,781,000 and 188,831.6 kg, and the total cost and total purchase value for scenario 3 IDR 3,869,779,000 and 190,576.5 kg. The results of the sensitivity analysis show that the decision variables and the objective function are sensitive to the changes of ordering cost and price of raw materials. The parameter of shortage cost, carbon limits, and carbon tax rates are only sensitive to the decision variables. Meanwhile, the parameter of transportation cost is only sensitive to the objective function.
