This internship report was written based on the internship program at Metta Solo FM, which was held from January 22, 2025, to April 22, 2025. This internship was carried out to fulfill the graduation requirements of the English Diploma Program. The purpose of this KMM was to enable students to apply the knowledge they had acquired on campus in a real workplace, gain hands-on experience in the industry, and practice work ethics and communication in the industry. Additionally, this report aims to explain the three-month offline internship activities at Metta Solo FM. The purpose of my internship at Metta Solo FM was to learn how to write interesting advertising or information insert scripts, hone my skills in creative content creation, and develop skills in translating various types of scripts. During my internship, I had the opportunity to conduct my main activities, including creating bilingual information inserts from Indonesian into English. In the process of creating bilingual this information inserts, I went through a three-stage process: preparation, writing, and translation. In the translation process, I applied the stages proposed by Nida and Taber (1982): analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. While translating the information insert script, I faced various challenges, such as finding cultural, religious, entertainment terms, proper names, slang, and unfamiliar words. To overcome this, I searched for equivalents of these terms through the KBBI, relevant articles, and international dictionaries. During the evaluation stage, I encountered language-related problems, device-related problems, and communication-related problems, which I was able to overcome. Through this internship, I learned about information insert, gained valuable experience in writing insert, and developed my translation skills. Additionally, I acquired deeper insights into the world of radio, improved my communication abilities, and had the opportunity to channel my creative ideas into producing a variety of informative media content.
