Abstrak :

A. franciscana as a natural feed, which is used a lot in many effort of fish and prawn germination. Cultivation of A. franciscana depend o n feed that have an effect to survival rate and growth A. franciscana. To increase the survival rate and growth of A. franciscana, using fish silage which contains many proteins need to be as alternative feed to substitute the coconut cake.

The aim of this research was to know the increasing of A. franciscana survival rate and growth after given fish silage, and evaluate optimum concentration of fish silage that given the highest survival rate and growth.

A. franciscana was used in this research. Conical concrete with 20 liter volume was used for this experiment. Stocking density was 200 naupli perliter. The methode was used Complete Random Design consist of 5 treatments. They were given diet with coconut cake 10 ppm (control group), fish silage 10 ppm, fish silage 20 ppm, fish silage 30 ppm, and fish silage 40 ppm. The body length, body weight and survival rate of A. franciscana were measured and analyzed using ANOVA. Water qualities (pH, temperature, salinity, DO and ammonia) were measured and analyzed descriptively.

The result of this research showed that fish silage 20 ppm gave the highest survival rate (55,75 %) for A. franciscana. Highest growth for body length (8,94 mm), dry weight (4,56 mg), and wet weight (14,34 mg) was found in A.franciscana feed with fish silage 30 ppm. Feed Conversion fish silage (54,21%-55,63%) better than coconut cake (12,57%). Diets fish silage o n various concentration had the same feed conversion efficiency (p>0,05). Based o n the result can concluded fish silage could improve the survival rate and growth of A. franciscana. Fish silage 20 ppm was optimum concentration to increase survival rate and growth.
