× ABSTRACS This final project was written based on job training, which has been done by the writer on 1st – 28th February2007 in Radio PTPN on JL. Kebalen No. 2 Surakarta. The Purpose of this final project is to describe the efforts of public relations division in creating good image to the public. The efforts done by Public Relations Division are to create good image for internal public and external public. Internal Public is everyone inside the company or anyone who works in a company and external public are those who are not directly connected with the company. The efforts that are done by Public Relations Division of Radio PTPN for Internal Public are distributing pamphlet, holding meeting, providing telephone and internet to make communication easier, and celebrating the great days together, such as: Iedul Fitri Day; Company’s Birthday etc. the efforts for external public are making good relationship to the mass media (printed media, radio and television), making press release, Publishing Ballyhoo, Billboard, Sticker and Banner, producing Funk Cyber, holding event off air, and providing internet to the customers in order to they can know more information about PTPN easily. From the discussion, the writer concludes that Public Relations Division of Radio PTPN has done the efforts in creating good image in order to get customer’s and colleagues’ trust. The result of the efforts is good enough, but it has to be increase. Therefore, the writer gives some suggestion to Public Relations Division to improve the jobs effectively by recruiting more officers and make an activity that will be done by all of the crews of Radio PTPN.
