Abstrak : This study deals with strategies related to the Sekar Jagad Pub development in attracting guests and improving the quality service. The bar is one of important parts of Sahid Raya Solo Hotel. Sekar Jagad Pub has several strategies to attract guests and improve quality service. Those programs can attract guest’s interest and make the guests feel satisfaction with the service, and enjoy with the entertainments that Sekar Jagad Pub provides. The waiter and waitress has the duties to serve the guests, they should know the ways to face the guests and the ways to speak with the guests. The waiter and waitress has the responsibilities in their criteria to be good waiter and waitress and about the waiter and waitress appearance. Bar activities include three things. They are: preparations before the bar is opened, during the bar is opened, and after the bar is closed. Sekar Jagad Pub has several beverages and equipments to support its operational management. Beverages in Sekar Jagad Pub are divided into two major groups, including: alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. the equipments are divided into several groups, including: main equipments, additional equipments, bar tools and accessories. One of the strategies to attract guests in Sekar Jagad Pub is present many different entertainments that can be enjoyed every night, including: live music performance, karaoke’s night, and koes plus night. There are seven strategies to improve the quality service and to get customer’s satisfaction of Sekar Jagad Pub. They are: treat customer as a friend, develop good relationship with the guests, do not offer the guests to sing before they order food or drink first, focus to increase beverage selling, arrange good schedule for the entertainments, control the entertainments and services very well, and welcome the guests politely.
