Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw Terhadap Keaktifan Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas V Sekolah Dasar pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila

Learning engagement reflects students' participation in the behavioral, cognitive, and emotional dimensions during Pancasila Education learning. The suboptimal level of learning engagement among elementary school students indicates the need for instructional models that can facilitate greater student participation. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on the learning engagement of fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population consisted of elementary schools within the Hasanuddin IV Cluster, Banjarsari District. The sample comprised 26 fifth-grade students from SDN Tempel as the experimental group and 28 fifth-grade students from SDN Banyuanyar 3 as the control group. Data were collected through questionnaires and classroom observations and were analyzed using descriptive statistics and an independent samples t-test. The findings revealed that the experimental group obtained a higher posttest mean score (66.13) than the control group (59.78). Furthermore, the hypothesis test produced a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference in learning engagement between the two groups. These findings suggest that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model has a significant effect on the learning engagement of fifth-grade elementary school students in Pancasila Education.
