This internship report discusses the translation techniques employed in translating marketing texts from English into Indonesian during a two-month internship at PT STAR Software Indonesia. The internship was conducted to provide practical experience in the language service industry while applying translation theories and professional workflows in real translation projects. The main objective of this report is to describe the translation process and identify the translation techniques by Molina and Albir (2002) used to produce accurate, natural, and persuasive target texts. The primary activities involved translating 44 product descriptions and 6 user guides texts for international clients. The analysis revealed that six translation techniques were employed in translating the marketing texts, including borrowing, established equivalent, amplification, modulation, transposition, and reduction. In addition to translation tasks, the internship also involved Language Sign-Off (LSO) activities, which focused on reviewing linguistic accuracy, terminology consistency, layout, and formatting before document delivery. The internship successfully enhanced both linguistic competence and professional skills, including terminology management, CAT tool utilization, quality assurance, communication, and time management. Overall, this internship bridged academic knowledge and professional practice while providing valuable experience in translating marketing documents within a professional localization environment.
