Sandrina Aulia Rachma, 2026. Translating Website Content and Company Profile of Rumah Budaya Kratonan. English Diploma Program, Vocational School. Universitas Sebelas Maret. The Student Internship Program (KMM) is a mandatory internship program of the English Diploma Program at the Vocational School of Sebelas Maret University. As part of this program, students participate in industry-related activities at an institution or organization relevant to their field of study for a minimum of two months and a maximum of three months. This report was written as part of the KMM program I completed during my sixth semester at Rumah Budaya Kratonan (RBK), a tourist destination and creative space in Surakarta managed by Yayasan Warna Warni Indonesia. The internship lasted for two months, from January 27 to March 31, 2026, mainly focusing on translating Rumah Budaya Kratonan’s content and documents from Indonesian to English. The goal of this internship was to apply academic knowledge and skills in a real-world professional environment, to gain practical experience, and to understand how companies use digital media to promote their activities. Furthermore, this internship also helps improve professional skills such as teamwork, time management, and accountability for assigned tasks. During my internship, I was assigned to translate RBK’s Company Profile and website content. Both documents contain general information about RBK’s background, activities, and services. For the translation process, I used the translation stages model proposed by Nida and Taber (1982), which consists of the analysis, transfer, and restructuring stages. I also applied several translation techniques suggested by Molina and Hurtado Albir (2002). Since these documents contain many Javanese cultural terms that have no direct equivalents in English, such as Halal bi halal, joglo, sentong, and several culinary terms native to Central Java, I translated them by applying the borrowing, amplification, and established equivalent techniques. In addition to the translation project, I was also involved in creating content for RBK’s Instagram social media account through a job rotation system, where other interns and I served as a graphic designer, editor, campaign officer, and content writer, utilizing editing apps such as CapCut and Canva. Through this internship, I was able to enhance my skills in translation, digital content creation, and professional teamwork. This report concluded with recommendations for Rumah Budaya Kratonan, students, and the English Diploma Program to improve the quality and value of the future internship experience.
