ABSTRACT Syafira Indah Latifah Putri, 2026. Translating KONEKIN’s 2026 Accessibility Assessment Report from Indonesian to English. English Diploma Program, Vocational School, Universitas Sebelas Maret. This internship report is written based on my internship experience at KONEKIN (Koneksi Indonesia Inklusif), a Jakarta-based social foundation that promotes disability inclusion through education, advocacy, and professional services. The internship was conducted remotely from January 26, 2026, to April 26, 2026. This report consists of detailed descriptions of the internship background, objectives, institutional profile, internship mechanisms, tools, main activities, additional tasks, and recommendations. The main focus of this internship report is translating an Indonesian Accessibility Assessment Report prepared for one of the world's largest Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies, translated from Indonesian into English. During the translation process, I encountered three challenges related to technical terms, disability-related terminology, and legal and regulatory terminology, as well as differences in grammatical structure between the two languages. To overcome these challenges, I followed the three stages of the translation process by Nida and Taber (1969) namely analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. Careful attention was also given to the use of inclusive and disability sensitive language throughout the translation. I also used supporting tools, such as the Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI), the Cambridge Dictionary, MateCat as a Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tool, and DeepL, to ensure accuracy and consistency in the translation process. In addition to the main activity, I undertook several supporting tasks, including reviewing and revising a press release, improving the bilingual content of KONEKIN's website, and writing and editing other bilingual materials. This internship provided valuable experience in translation, inclusive communication, and professional collaboration in a remote working environment. Overall, this experience strengthened my understanding of how translation theory can be applied to real-world, client-based projects, while also improving my sensitivity toward inclusive and accessible language use.
