This internship
report explains my two-month internship at PT PéMad International TranSearch, from the third week of January to
the second week of March 2026. During this internship, my main tasks involved
translating game texts and translating an academic text (a law thesis). In the
translation process, I applied the translation process by Nida and Taber
(1982), consisting of the stages of analysis, transfer, and restructuring.
During this process, I faced several challenges, such as translating specific
terms in the fields of gaming and law that I had never known before, adapting
the writing style, and selecting context-appropriate equivalents. To overcome
these challenges, I applied several translation techniques by Molina and Albir
(2002), mostly using established equivalents and pure borrowing. I used these
techniques to find equivalents that are commonly used in the target language
and to keep certain terms in the original form. I also worked on additional
tasks, such as Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) of game texts, writing
articles and content captions about standard words, and translating them into
English. Through this internship program, I not only improved my translation
skills but also gained new insights into game and legal terminology, critical
thinking skills, and the ability to express and accept opinions.
