Salsa Gracella Salmarina. 2026. Translating First Person Shooter Game Texts for the PC Platform at PT PéMad International TranSearch. English Diploma Program. Vocational School.Universitas Sebelas Maret.  This report discusses my two-month internship at PT PéMad International TranSearch, conducted from January 14 to March 10, 2026. This report aims to explain the process of translating First-Person Shooter (FPS) game text for the PC platform from English into Indonesian. The translated text was identified into five types: User Interface (UI) text, gameplay notifications, lore, voice-over, and character descriptions. However, there are categories that cannot be discussed due to non-disclosure agreements between the company and its clients, namely item names, location names, skill names, and character names. When translating, I applied Larson’s (1984) theory, which consists of three stages: discovering the meaning by analysis of the source text, transferring the meaning, and re-express the meaning into target language. During the translation process, I needed to adapt the text to the game’s genre, the target age of players, and the rules set by the game developer. The terminology and writing style were adjusted to suit the preferences of PC gamers, who are generally familiar with gaming terminology. In addition to my main activity, I also performed three supporting tasks: creating bilingual content scripts, translating legal and customer service texts, and recording voice-overs for the customer service texts I had translated. Through this internship, I was able to improve my translation skills, especially in translating game texts. I also gained an understanding of how to work in a translation agency, including following guidelines, working to deadlines, and communicating professionally in a work environment.
