This final project report discusses my two-month internship activities at UPW Wellness Center Development Unit, which was conducted from 12 January to 7 March 2026. The main aim of this internship was to translate the Mindfulness Jamu Pipisan Tradisional Guidebook from Indonesian into English, serving as a promotional tool to reach a wider audience. The guidebook consists of six sections: the sub-title, workshop objectives, ingredients and benefits, equipment needed, pipisan mindfulness process, and closing poem. In translating this guidebook, I followed the three-stage translation process proposed by Larson (1984): discovering the meaning, analyzing the meaning, and re-expressing the meaning. The guidebook includes several common features that needed special attention. These features include culture-specific terms like jamu, gandik pipisan, and temu giring, mindfulness phrases such as rasakan kehadiran tubuh and hadir sepenuhnya, and a closing poem that had to keep its meaning and poetic quality. Alongside the translation work, this report also presents additional activities I undertook during the internship, such as being an event facilitator and managing design tasks for the unit. Through this internship, I gained a better understanding of how meaning, cultural context, and intended message are key to creating a natural and acceptable translation. I also developed my communication and hospitality skills through direct involvement in various events and gained real work experience in a professional environment.
