Existing literatures have explored women’s representation on firm’s performance and default on conventional bank. However, the role of gender diversity on Islamic Bank’s performances (non-performing financing (NPF) and return on assets (ROA)) remained yet unexplored. This study examine the role of gender diversity on Islamic bank’s performanceswhich measured by two accounting measurements, NPF and ROA. The gender diversity measured by women’s representation on the board of directors of Islamic banks. Based on regression analysis, the findings indicate that the role of gender diversity negatively significantly impact Islamic bank’s NPF and positively significantly impact Islamic bank’s ROA. After taking robustness test by excluding the crisis year, the outcomes remain qualitatively reliable.
