Moringa
is a multifunctional plant rich in nutrients and antioxidants with potential as
a source of food and traditional medicine. The increasing demand for moringa
products for industrial and export markets has not yet been matched by the
development of optimal cultivation practices for the Palu accession of moringa.
This study aimed to determine the type and dosage of organic fertilizer that
are effective in optimizing the growth and yield of the Palu accession of
moringa. The study was conducted at the Jumantono Laboratory, Faculty of
Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University, Karanganyar Regency from
September-December 2025. The method used was a non-factorial Completely
Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with ten treatments and three replications. The
fertilizers used were chicken manure, goat manure, and vermicompost. The
analyses used included analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 95% significance
level, the Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) and correlation tests between
variables. The results showed that the application of chicken manure at doses of 5,
10, and 15 t.ha-1 increased plant height, leaf number, and stem
diameter of Palu accession moringa compared without fertilizer. Goat manure at
doses of 5, 10, and 15 t.ha-1
increased plant height and stem diameter and showed better responses compared without fertilizer and
vermicompost. Vermicompost at doses of 5, 10, and 15 t.ha-1 increased
leaf number and stem diameter compared without fertilizer. Organic fertilizers improved the growth performance
of Palu accession moringa by enhancing nutrient availability and supporting
plant physiological processes.
