Research on heroism figures in movies are abundant but those on black athletes in sports documentary series are a few. The research aims to investigate the heroism values within Michael Jordan’s figure in the Netflix series “The Last Dance” and how the heroism values are constructed in the movie. The data, which are in screenshots are merely taken from the main source, i.e. "The Last Dance" (2020) episodes five and six.  To reach the research objectives Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotics theory (1883) is employed. The research reveals that there are six heroism values discovered in the series, namely leadership, idealized social order, compensatory, interpersonal involvement, fitness motivation, and economic. Moreover, the values are constructed through three different ways, namely cinematography, narrations from Michael Jordan himself and narrations from those involved during Michael Jordan’s career.
