This report is written to describe the activities during my internship program conducted at Pro Translasi Malang. Pro Translasi is a translation company with 10 years experiences. They have already translated more than 5,000 documents and handled 3,700 clients from both domestic and international. With that experience and my desire to improve my translation skill, I chose Pro Translasi as my internship institution. The internship started on January 16 to 10 March 2023. During my internship, I received materials related to translation. I also did many translation projects, including translating Amazon-Website’s User-Interface. Apart from the main activity of translating and receiving materials, I also received an additional task to write an article and helped to recap Pro Translasi’s client data. In translating Amazon-Website’s User-Interface, I applied Nida and Taber (1982) translation theory which stated that there are 3 stages (analyzing, transferring, and restructuring) in translating a text. There are some problems that I encountered when translating the Amazon-Website’s User-Interface, the problem is related to difficult terms. To deal with the problem, all I did was to look up the meaning of the word in the glossary and some related text parallels. Meanwhile, the strategies I used were adaptation and pure borrowing proposed by Molina and Albir (2002). This internship programs provides a lot benefits for me because I can increase my skill in translation and gain a lot new knowledge from the expert. Participating in the Student Internship Program gives me lots of benefits, especially to prepare myself to work in the industry.
