ANALISIS PENGENDALIAN PERSEDIAAN BAHAN BAKU PADA PT TOBA PULP LESTARI, Tbk DENGAN METODE EOQ (ECONOMIC ORDER QUANTITY)
This study aims to analyze the optimal control of raw material inventory in the company, ensure the necessary safety stock level, determine the reorder timing for raw material purchases, and calculate the maximum inventory level required. The approach used in this study includes Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock, Reorder Point, and Maximum Inventory, comparing them with the Min-Max policy implemented by the company.
The results of this study indicate that the optimal purchase of raw materials for the company during the 2020 pandemic was 4,440,173 kg with a frequency of 2 purchases per year. The required safety stock level for the company is 549,321 kg, the reorder point for raw material purchases is 1,029,521 kg, and the maximum inventory limit that the company needs to maintain is 4,989,494 kg. The conclusion of this study is that the control of raw material inventory in PT TPL is not yet optimal when compared to the EOQ, Safety Stock, Reorder Point, and Maximum Inventory methods in comparison with the Min-Max policy. Based on the research findings, the researcher recommends the company to consider using the EOQ method for controlling raw material inventory and implementing supply chain management principles.
