The objective of this report is to describe the internship activities at the Badan Perencanaan, Penelitian, dan Pengembangan Daerah Boyolali. This internship program started from January 24 to March 17, 2023. This report also details the problems I encountered while completing my internship assignments. The main activity of my internship was translating several journal articles related to regional innovation. I also applied the three stages of the translation process stated by Nida & Taber (1982), which are analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. In fulfilling these assignments, I encountered several translation-related problems, such as difficulties in translating unfamiliar terms and idioms. The essential step in overcoming them is researching using multiple sources, such as websites, online dictionaries, and KBBI. Several sources are necessary to identify the definition, synonym, and parallel text before determining the most accurate translation. I also implemented several translation techniques stated by Molina & Albir (2002) as a reference for translating the texts. The final result of the translation should be accurate, acceptable, and readable.
