ABSTRACT
This internship report is written based on the results of an internship activity held at Museum Keris Nusantara from February 7, 2023 to April 2, 2023. The internship program aims 1) to provide opportunities for students to increase their knowledge and prepare themselves to enter real working life; 2) to train them to see the problems that must be faced in the world of work; 3) to develop their soft skills so that they will become a highly qualified workforce.
This report discusses language-related activities such as editing and translating kris and spear captions, producing a bilingual script for a video, and creating a bilingual catalog about Bugis culture. The obstacle encountered during the internship is the difficulty in finding the right equivalents when translating Javanese terms. Therefore, looking for some references by reading several books, conducting internet research, and asking the museum staff are the solutions in dealing with the problems of the translation process. In addition, this internship report utilized the translation process proposed by Nida and Taber (1982) and the translation techniques proposed by Molina dan Albir (2002) to create a good translation result.
