Matoa (Pometia pinnata) is a fruit plant native to Papua and belongs to the family Sapindaceae. Matoa has various variations that can be seen from its morphological characters, namely in leaf color, fruit color, flowers and seeds, but information about this plant is still limited. Matoa fruit has spread widely in the territory of Indonesia. Joglo Jumantono fruit garden, Karanganyar Regency is one of the areas that cultivates matoa. The study aims to add information about morphological characters and determine the diversity of existing matoa. The research was carried out in June-November 2022 at the Joglo Genengan Jumantono Fruit Garden, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province and the Plant Physiology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. The study used a survey method with deliberate sampling (Purpossive Sampling). The morphological characterization of matoa refers to Description for rambutan (IPGRI 2003). Morphological data is converted into scoring and then analyzed using the NTSYS (Numerical Taxonomy and Multivariate Analysis System) program. The results showed diversity and similarity in stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and matoa seeds. Based on dendogram analysis, it shows a similarity value of 0.82 -0.97 so that it has a diversity value of 15%.
