The existence of agarwood as a non-timber forest products for the basic ingredients of the perfume industry began to be rare because of human actions. The best efforts to anticipate the scarcity of agarwoods appropriately and quickly is through tissue culture by used an organic PGR. The research aimed to obtain the right concentration of shallot and/or young maize extract as an organic medium for agarwood growth in vitro. The research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta from August 2020 to April 2021. The method used was a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors, the first factor was shallots extract (0, 30, 40 and 50 ml) and  the second factor was young maize with 3 levels (0, 30 and 60 ml), so that a total of 12 treatments with 3 replications. Observed variable :  time appearance of shoots, time appearance of roots, number of shoots, number of leaves, and number of roots. The time appearance and number of root count data is described and data other than root count is analyzed ANOVA, if significant is further tested Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with significance level of 5%. The used of maize extract can affect the growth of agarwood in vitro. The more concentration of maize extract in agarwood culture, number of shoots and number of leaves produced is less when compared to the control treatment. Treatment of young maize extract as much as 60 ml l-1 is able to gave rise to the slowest agarwood shoots, which is 25.83 days after planting
