Teaching vocabulary to the 4th grade students of SDN 03 Sobayan Pedan

ABSTRAK This final project report is written based on the teaching experience during the job training in SDN 03 Sobayan Pedan. The major aim of this final project is to find out the difficulties faced in teaching English vocabulary. By observing the class and teaching directly at the 4th grade class, I could write the final project completely. The technique that was used in teaching and learning English vocabulary are using object, using picture, games, and song. I found the difficulties in teaching vocabulary. They are: one resource book in the English lesson, differences behavior of student, pronunciation and spelling, and also there are no facilities and media for supporting teaching English. By these difficulties, I have solutions to solve the problems. They are: the teacher can take the materials from internet or the other references, The materials for the 4th grade students need to be added and improved, The elementary school should have the facilities and media to support the English lesson to make teaching learning process easy, fun and enjoyable, and make teaching learning process not monotonous.
