This final report was based on my internship from January 16 to March 11, 2023, at Unit Pelaksana Teknis Pusat Pelayanan dan Pengembangan Bahasa (UPT P3B) UNS. The purpose of writing this Final Project is to describe the activities related to translation during the internship, including the main and additional activities. The objectives of this internship program include: 1) to know the workflow at the institution, 2) to practice the translation theories learned on campus, and 3) to learn to overcome difficulties encountered, especially in translating. When conducting the main activity, translating astronomical article containing specific terms: U.S. Speeds Up in Outer Space Race at UPT P3B, I applied Nida and Taber's translation process, namely analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. I encountered some difficulties, mainly in translating astronomical terms. To solve the problem, I looked up the definition in online dictionaries, such as Cambridge Dictionary, Merriam-Webster, KBBI, etc. I also searched for parallel texts on Google to find the proper equivalent in the target language.
