ABSTRACT
Bamboo is a non-timber forest product (NTFP) which can be used in almost all parts of its body, can be propagated by branch cuttings and can be stimulated using the growth regulator IBA. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of IBA on the growth of yellow ampel bamboo and Chinese bamboo branch cuttings and to determine the optimal concentration of IBA. This research was conducted in the Collection Park of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta from January-April 2021.The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors. The first factor was the type of bamboo (yellow ampel bamboo and Chinese bamboo). The second factor was IBA concentration (0, 500, 1000, and 1500 ppm). Data analysis used variance at the 5% level and continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the use of IBA had a significant effect on branch cuttings of yellow ampel bamboo and Chinese bamboo with a concentration of 500 ppm providing optimal results in producing branch cuttings growth of the Bamboo
