Barangan is one type of superior banana that is widely cultivated in North Sumatra. Tissue culture techniques can be used as a solution for propagating Barangan, the right combination of growth regulators in tissue culture media is very necessary to stimulate plantlet development. One of them that can be used is BAP and jasmonic acid. The aim of this research was to determine the effect and obtain the right concentration of BAP and jasmonic acid for the multiplication of barangan. The research took place at the Plant Physiology and Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta in September-August 2023. The method used was a two-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor was BAP concentration (0; 1; 2; 3 ppm) and the second factor was jasmonic acid concentration (0; 0.5; 1; 1.5 ppm). Each treatment was repeated 3 times so there were 48 treatments. Data analysis used to determine the effect between treatments on the growth of Barangan bananas in vitro used analysis of variance (Anova) with the F test at the 5% significance level, and if there were significant differences, it was continued with the Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level and regression. The results showed that giving BAP with a concentration of 1 ppm was able to stimulated the formation of shoots, roots and leaves in barangan banana plantlets, while giving BAP and jasmonic acid with a concentration that was too high can actually inhibit shoot height and leaf formation. The combination treatment of BAP and Jasmonic Acid at various concentrations was not able to increase the number of shoots in the multiplication of barangan bananas.
