This final project was written based on my job training, which was done on February, 4th 2009 in SDN Palur 02. The purposes of this final project are to describe the process of teaching English reading for the children at SDN Palur 02, to show the difficulties of teaching English reading faced by the students and the teacher and also to give the solution for those difficulties. By observing the class, interviewing to students and directly teaching at the fourth grade class, I could write the final project report completely. The process of teaching English reading consists of some activities. They are greeting, introducing the material explanation of the material, exercises and ending the lesson. The materials used to teach English reading were taken from “Grow with English and LKS (Lembar Kerja Sekolah) provided by school. During the English teaching reading process, there were some difficulties. The difficulties were related to the problems both the teacher and the students. The problems of the students were motivations, understanding text and pronouncing the words. Meanwhile, the problems of the teacher were classroom management, the condition of the students, the limited time. I also gave the solution to solve the problem of the students is I explained the material slowly and brifly, I taught the students how to pronounce the words and asked them to repeat the word
