This study analyzed the speaking performances in the "English for Change" textbook using Brown's classification of speaking performance framework. This study used content analysis to analyze the distribution of speaking performances in the textbook. Additionally, the study also analyzed how the textbook facilitates the development of micro and macro skills of oral communication. The data are collected from the “English for Change” student and teacher textbook. The study used qualitative data analysis to analyze the data. The objectives of this research are to see what types of speaking performances are present in the textbook and to see how it facilitates the development of micro and macro skills. The findings showed that the distribution of speaking performances in the textbook includes range of speaking performances. Additionally, the findings showed that the textbook provided different needs in facilitating students in developing micro and macro skills of oral communication, with a slight emphasis on macro skills.
