This internship report is based on my experience at Pruf Ritz Communication Hub, which commenced on January 22 and concluded on April 19, 2024. The report provides comprehensive details about the internship program, including the company profile, main activities, challenges encountered during translation, recommendations, and conclusions. The main activities involved translating, editing, and proofreading with the novel titled "Ratu Adil." The main purpose of this report is to discuss the translation process, highlighting the difficulties encountered and the solutions employed. During the translation process, I employed Nida and Taber (1982) translation theory, which involves analyzing, transferring, and restructuring to ease the translation process. One significant challenge was the prevalence of historical terms that were not fully understood. To address these issues, I applied the amplification, pure borrowing, and established equivalence translation techniques proposed by Molina and Albir (2002). These techniques enabled me to overcome the translation challenges and deliver an exceptional final product. Working on this novel provided me with valuable experiences and insights, significantly enhancing my professional skills. Through this internship, I gained practical knowledge and honed my translation skills, which will be instrumental in my future career as a translator. The report concludes with recommendations for future interns and reflections on the overall experience, underscoring the importance of applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. This internship at Pruf Ritz Communication Hub has been an invaluable learning opportunity, contributing to my growth as a linguist and professional translator.
