This research is conducted to understand the complex interplay between the media text and the audience reception that leads to gender trolling. Specifically, this research aims to see why the male adult audience in the Kinderflix content are sexualizing one of its talents, Kak Nisa by looking at the semiotics and pragmatics process behind the reception. While Kinderflix itself is the toddler learning videos channel on YouTube, the audience had misunderstood it and started the gender trolling. The data have been gathered from the comments of Kinderflix’s reposted videos on TikTok. The results show how the gender trolling and sexualizing comments are dominating the comment section by 57% out of the whole comments. That number occurs as the product of patriarchy and men's dominance towards women in media and the cultural influence that impacted the audience’s semiotic process. It is found that the audience have their interpretive meaning in watching Kak Nisa’s performance and inadvertently build an interpretive community. The unrelated interaction among audiences in this interpretive community is legitimate because they share the same way of pragmatism in commenting
