This internship report is written to explain in detail what activities were carried out during the internship program at Museum Radyapustaka. Museum Radyapustaka is one of the oldest museums in Indonesia, with more than a century of history. The museum has various collections from all over Indonesia. Considering its cultural value and its location in Surakarta, I decided to do my internship program at Museum Radyapustaka. This internship program lasted for 8 weeks from February 12 to April 5, 2024. During this internship, I produced two translation products, descriptions of the manuscripts of Serat Centhini I and Serat Centhini II. In translating, I used the three stages of translation by Nida and Taber (1969): analysis, transfer, and restructuring. During the process, I faced several problems, such as the complex structure of the source text and unfamiliar terms. To solve these problems, I searched the parallel texts on various search engines, used dictionaries, and consulted to museum experts. Furthermore, I engaged in additional activities, such as the creation, translation, and design of a bilingual booklet containing the museum's collections. Additionally, I collaborated with my internship partner to produce a video to popularize the existence of the Museum Radyapustaka. There are many benefits that I got from this internship program, such as improving my translation skills and working directly with experts. In this program, one of the benefits received by the museum is the ability to utilize the interns as a valuable resource. Meanwhile, the English Diploma Program gains benefits from sending its students to improve their skills, especially translation while running this program.
