ABSTRACT GROWTH STUDY OF POLYVYNYL ALCOHOL (PVA) MEMBRANCE WITH VARIATION OF PVA CONCENTRATION USING SPIN COATING METHODS ON THE PLATINUM ELECTRODE LAYER By Rina Agus Wiliastuti M0202040 The aim from this research is to know characteristics of Polyvynyl Alcohol (PVA) membrance layer they are resistance and absorbance at the different PVA concentration grown on the Platinum electrode. The variation of PVA concentration consist of 33%wtPVA, 20wt%PVA , and 14wt%PVA. The growth of PVA membrance using spin coating with angular velocity is 3500 rpm, at 33%wtPVA get result maximum absorbance is 4,0 at spin time 2,5 minutes, resistance at the gap 1,0 mm is (0,81 ± 0,09)x108 Ω and at the gap 1,2 mm is (6,1 ± 0,2) x 108 Ω, at 20wt%PVA get result maximum absorbance is 3,3 at spin time 2 minutes, resistance at the gap 1,0 mm is (3,4 ± 0,1) x 108 Ω and at the gap 1,2 mm is (14,7 ± 0,5)x108 Ω, and 14wt%PVA get result maximum absorbance is 3,1 at spin time 1,5 minutes, resistance at the gap 1,0 mm is (7,3 ± 0,2) x 108 Ω and at the gap 1,2 mm is (18 ± 1)x108 Ω.
