PENGARUH PADAT PENEBARAN NAUPLII TERHADAP KUALITAS DAN PRODUKTIVITAS KISTA Artemia franciscana DENGAN PEMBERIAN PAKAN BUNGKIL KELAPA

ABSTRACT
Artemia franciscana is the one of natural food which has an important function in Indonesia’s aquaculture
this time. The high nutrition of A. franciscana could make intensify the growth and survival rate of fish
and shrimp. The research aims to find out of the nauplii density influence to the quality and productivity
of A. franciscana’s cysts and find out the nauplii density which is able to make the best quality and
productivity of A. franciscana’s cysts with coconut cake feeding. he research had been accomplished at
November until December 2006 at Laboratory of Natural Food, Balai Besar Pengembangan Budidaya Air
Payau (BBPBAP) Jepara, Central Java. This research used CRD (Completely Randomized Design) with
five treatments group, each treatment with three replicates. The treatments group were density 200, 400,
600, 800, and 1000 nauplii/litre. The parameters observation were survival rate, fecundity, cyst diameters,
cyst production, hatching percentage, and hatching rate. They were analized using One Way Anova and
Tukey experimental test with 5% signification, while water quality were analized by comparative
description. he result showed that 600 nauplii/litre with coconut cake feeding was the best density which
able to give productivity of A. franciscana’s cysts was 981,33 cysts, fecundity 28,66 cysts/individu, and
the best hatching percentage 25,33%. Density 200 nauplii/litre has given the best survival rate 27,07%.
Density 1000 nauplii/litre has given the biggest cyst diameters 252,28 µm.
