This report based on my internship activities at PT Pratama Transsoftware Inti
Bahasa (Translation Transfer), started from January 29 until March 28, 2024. During
my internship at this organization, I performed translation work on a document titled
"General Provision, Digital Finance Innovation, and Closing Provision" from the
Indonesian Financial Service Authority. I integrated various theories including those
proposed by Newmark, Nida and Taber, and Rochayah Machali to help me in
translating my project. For my final project, I utilized various sources and software tools
to assist me in translation, including KBBI, Cambridge Online Dictionary, and
Thesaurus. In my final project titled "General Provision, Digital Finance Innovation,
and Closing Provision," I implemented Nida and Taber translation theory (1969)
especially in the translation process, which are Analyzing, Transferring, and
Restructuring. I chose to utilize Molina Albir (2002) in order to enhance my
comprehension of translation techniques, such as established equivalent and
amplification. Throughout the translation process, I encountered difficulties such as my
lack of vocabulary in legal terms and my doubt over the appropriate technique to apply.
However, I received guidance from my mentor and engaged in discussions with fellow
interns to ensure the translation results were acceptable.
