Orchids of the genus Dendrobium were the orchids with the highest market demand. The hallmark of Dendrobium was the longevity of flowers (perennial flowers) and had a variety of shades, colors, and shapes. Cytological information in the form of chromosomes from several species of Dendrobium was useful for improving superior species. This research aims to determine the cytological characters such as chromosome number, size, shape, karyotype, and chromosomal asymmetry Maret. The research was carried out at the Plant Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sebelas Maret University from Maret-October 2023. The method used was a non-experimental research method and data analysis was carried out descriptively. This study used D. nindii, D. odoratum, and D. stratiotes. The preparation of chromosomes is made by the squashing method. The result showed that karyotype formula of D. nindii is 2n=2x=40=19m+1sm with an average chromosome size of 4.72±1.29 μm, while D. odoratum and D. stratiotes are 2n=2x=38=19m with an average chromosome size of 4.74±1.32 μm and 3.55±0.54 μm. The intrachromosomal asymmetry index (A1) value of the three Dendrobiums is small (A1<0>
