ABSTRACT Metal Pb can come into territorial water through thinning, precipitation and dispertion later than come into organism body. Metal Pb will tied with protein so that will influence protein content and protein ribbon pattern. This research aims to find out the quality of waters, concentration and distribution of timbale (Pb) heavy metal as well as the characteristics change of total protein tape pattern and protein content of fresh water mollusc (Anodonta woodiana Lea.) exposed to Pb in the upstream Serang River of Kedungombo Reservoir. The sampling was conducted in the upstream Serang River; the examination of Pb concentration and protein content as well as the protein tape pattern preparation was done in the laboratory. The data on pH, DO, and Pb concentration obtained in the water was compared with the PPRI No.82 of 2001, Pb within the flesh was compared with the decree of Dirjen POM No. 03725/B/VII/89 meanwhile for Pb in sediment was compared with the result of Canadian Council of Ministers of The Environment of 1999. The one-way Variance Analysis (Anava) was used to analyse the data and if there was the significant difference it was followed with DMRT test at significance level of 5%, the correlation-regression analysis and the change of total protein tape pattern was analyzed descriptively. o
