SINTESIS SUPERKONDUKTOR Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O/Ag DENGAN METODE REAKSI PADATAN

Physics Department of Mathematics and Sciences Faculty of Surakarta Sebelas Maret University. Superconductor Bi1.8Pb0.4Sr2Ca2.2Cu3AgxO10-δ using compression method has been made and examined for its superconductivity using XRD and Meissner tests. Superconductor Bi1.8Pb0.4Sr2Ca2.2Cu3AgxO10-δ with varied x, for (i) x = 0, (ii) x = 0,5, (iii) x = 1. Each variation is made with 2 samples with different sintering time. The six samples made was calcinated at temperature 800oC for 24 hours. Superconductor is pressed in the form of thin cylinder (pellet) by using hydraulic press tool. Pellet is sintered at temperature 840oC for 48-102 hours. The caracterization conducted to the samples was XRD and Meissner tests. The result of XRD test shows that the highest content of fasa 2223 in the sample with stochiometry ratio Bi1.8Pb0.4Sr2Ca2.2Cu3Ag1.0O10-δ and sintering time of 102 housr is (61.98±1.27)%. The Meissner test was conducted by putting the magnet on the sample that has been submerged in the liquid nitrogen. The result of Meissner test to 2 samples with stochiometry ratio Bi1.8Pb0.4Sr2Ca2.2Cu3Ag1.0O10-δ and sintering time of 96 and 102 hours shows the strongest Meissner effect.
