Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
(1) menganalisis pola persebaran (2) kesesuaian lokasi industri garmen dalam
perencanaan pengembangan wilayah Kota Surakarta tahun 2024. Penelitian ini
merupakan penelitian deksriptif Dirjen KPAII dalam RIPIN
2015-2035 menekankan bahwa pengembangan perlu memperhatikan kesesuaian. Kota
Surakarta strategis dalam industri utamanya bidang garmen meskipun demikian BPS
memberi peringkat ke 15 sebagai kota dengan pengangguran tertinggi yaitu 4,61%
pada 5 November 2024. Indeks Daya Saing Kota Surakarta dari BPPPD 2021
menyatakan sektor garmen utamanya batik ada disetiap kecamatannya, maka perlu
dianalisis kesesuaian lokasi industrinya. Teknik pengambilan datanya melalui
survei. Metodenya yaitu analisis tetangga
terdekat dengan kesesuaian lokasi industri dari
proses overlay dengan (RTRW) Kota Surakarta hingga diperoleh dua kelas
kesesuaian, yaitu sesuai dan tidak sesuai. Kelas sesuai itu memiliki arti
lokasi industri berada dalam RTRW Kota Surakarta tahun 2021-2041. Teknik uji
validitasnya dengan triangulasi data dan sumber. Penelitian ini menghasilkan pola penyebaran industri garmen di Kota Surakarta
mengelompok (nilai T mendekati 0) di Kecamatan Laweyan dengan 13 industri
garmen. Hasil akhirnya total 91% sesuai RTRW
dengan 4 lokasi sebesar 25% industri garmen yaitu: PT Sari Warna Asli Garmen,
PT Kreasi Apparel Indopasifik, Batik Mahkota dan Batik Gunawan Desain.
