This internship report was written based on my internship program at Metta Solo FM, which began on January 29th to March 24th, 2024.During my internship at Metta Solo FM, I received a lot of material from the internship supervisor which was very useful and relevant to the field of study being pursued. The tasks I did varied, but on average the tasks I did were creating broadcast scripts, news scripts, or voiceover scripts. In addition, I was also involved in several creative projects that involved drafting broadcast content and news reporting, which allowed me to develop my communication skills and gain insight into the broadcast media industry. This report aims to describe and explain the offline internship activities at Metta Solo FM, particularly the translation process. When translating, I encountered many problems such as unfamiliar cultural references, difficult terms, and significant grammatical differences between the source and target languages. To solve these problems, I relied on various tools and resources, including online dictionaries, Google Docs, Grammarly, and Wikipedia. These tools proved to be very helpful in ensuring an accurate translation and maintaining the cultural nuances present in the original text. In addition, this report also emphasizes the importance of the internship program in enhancing my practical skills and knowledge in the field of translation. This hands-on experience allowed me to put the theories learned in college into practice and understand the dynamics of working in the broadcasting industry.
