Speaking proficiency is the most important language skills in both education and professional contexts, but many students still experience difficulties in improving it. This study written to analyze the impact of teachers' corrective feedback on English speaking proficiency of vocational high school students in Surakarta. The research method used is a case study with quantitative and qualitative approaches. In the quantitative approach, data was collected through speaking tests before and after the application of feedback. Meanwhile, for the qualitative approach, the data were obtained through classroom observation and written interview filled in by an English teacher and three vocational high students in Surakarta. The results showed that students experienced improvement in speaking performance after receiving corrective feedback from the teacher. In addition, students also preferred direct feedback that clearly showed their mistakes. This study concludes that corrective feedback given by the teacher is effective in improving the English-speaking ability of vocational high students in Surakarta. Therefore, teachers are advised to apply corrective feedback more often in English language learning.
