This internship report is written based on the writer’s internship experience at

KONEKIN (Koneksi Indonesia Inklusif), a social enterprise in Jakarta that

promotes disability inclusion through education and media. The internship was

conducted remotely from January 20, 2025, to March 10, 2025. This report consists

of detailed descriptions of the internship background, objectives, institutional

profile, internship mechanisms, tools, main activities, additional tasks, challenges,

and recommendations. The main focus of this internship report is the translation of

two inclusive children’s books titled Piknik! And Hira dan Bola Basket from

Indonesian to English. During the translation process, the writer encountered

several challenges, especially in conveying inclusive language, emotional tone, and

accessibility for children with disabilities. To overcome these challenges, the writer

applied the three stages of translation by Nida and Taber (1982), which are

analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. Additionally, to handle micro level

translation issues, such as specific terms, cultural references, and visual language

elements. The writer applied techniques proposed by Molina and Albir (2002),

including adaptation, established equivalent, and particularization. The writer also

conducted reference searches using online dictionaries and inclusive language

guidelines. In addition to the translation project, the writer contributed to

administrative tasks such as writing SOPs, creating audience letters, taking meeting

notes, and managing digital archives. This internship provided valuable experience

in translation, inclusive communication, and professional collaboration in a remote

working environment.
