Pengaruh metode tanya jawab terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa MAN di Kebumen ditinjau dari partisipasi berorganisasi

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) perbedaan pengaruh antara penggunaan metode Tanya jawab dengan metode Diskusi terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa MAN di Kebumen, 2) pengaruh antara partisipasi berorganisasi tinggi dengan partisipasi berorganisasi rendah terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa MAN di Kebumen, 3) interaksi antara penggunaan metode tanya jawab dan partisipasi berorganisasi terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa MAN di Kebumen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN Kebumen 1 pada semester ganjl tahun pelajaran 2009/2010. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MAN di Kebumen. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 80 siswa, 40 siswa sebagai kelompok Eksperimen dan 40 siswa sebagai kelompok Kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket partisipasi berorganisasi. Validitas instrument untuk Angket diuji dengan teknik korelasi product moment dan reliabilitas Angket dengan teknik korelasi Spearman Brown. Hasil dan kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah׃ 1) Ada perbedaan pengaruh antara penggunaan metode tanya jawab dengan metode diskusi terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa MAN di Kebumen. 2) ada pengaruh antara partisipasi berorganisasi tinggi dengan partisipasi berorganisasi rendah terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa MAN di Kebumen, 3) ada interaksi antara penggunaan metode tanya jawab dan partisipasi berorganisasi terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa MAN di Kebumen. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode tanya jawab mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa MAN di Kebumen. ABSTRACT This research aims at finding out: 1) the difference of effect between the question and answer method use and the discussion method use on the speaking skills of the students of State Islamic Senior Secondary School in Kebumen, 2) the effect between the high organizational participation and the low organizational participation on the speaking skills of the students of State Islamic Senior Secondary School in Kebumen, and 3) the interaction of effect between the question and answer method use and the organizational participation on the speaking skills of the students of State Islamic Senior Secondary School in Kebumen. This research was conducted at State Islamic Senior Secondary School Kebumen 1 in the odd semester in the academic year of 2009/2010. It used an experimental research method with the factorial design of 2 x 2. Its population was all of the students in Grade XI of State Islamic Senior Secondary School in Kebumen. The samples of the research consisted of 60 students, and were divided into two groups, namely experimental group and control group. Each group consisted of 30 students. The samples were taken by using a cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used in gathering the data of the research was questionnaire of organizational participation. Its validity and reliability were tested by using the product moment correlation technique, and Spearman Brown’s correlation technique respectively. The results of the analysis are as follows: 1) there is any difference of effect between the question and answer method use and the discussion method use on the speaking skills of the students of State Islamic Senior Secondary School in Kebumen; 2) there is an effect between the high organizational participation and the low organizational participation on the speaking skills of the students of State Islamic Senior Secondary School in Kebumen; and 3) there is an interaction of effect between the question and answer method use and the organizational participation on the speaking skills of the students of State Islamic Senior Secondary School in Kebumen. Based on the results of the analysis, a conclusion is drawn that the question and answer method has a significant effect on the speaking skills of the students of State Islamic Senior Secondary School in Kebumen.
