culture technique is considered an effective solution for producing banana
seedlings in terms of quantity and quality. This study aims to determine the
optimal concentration of Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) and Indole Acetic Acid (IAA)
for the growth of Raja Bulu banana explants. The research was conducted at the
Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture,
Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, from February to May 2025. The method used
was a two-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with eight replications.
The first factor was BAP (0; 1; 2; 3 ppm) and the second factor was IAA (0;
0.25; 0.5; 0.75 ppm). The variables observed were time to shoot emergence,
number of shoots, time to leaf emergence, number of leaves, time to root
emergence, number of roots, and plant height. The observed data were analyzed
using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with a 95% significance level test. If a
significant difference was found, it was further analyzed using Duncan's
Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with a 95% significance level test. The results
showed that the combination of BAP 3 ppm and IAA 0.5 ppm produced an average of
6.75 buds per explant. The concentration of BAP 2 ppm and IAA 0.75 ppm resulted
in shoot emergence time of 5 days after planting and leaf emergence time of 17
days. The concentration of BAP 3 ppm produced 5.63 leaf strands and 7.25 roots.
IAA treatment at 0.75 ppm resulted in the fastest root emergence time of 12
days. The control treatment increased the height of the plantlets to 7.75 cm.
