Diploma Program, Vocational School, Universitas Sebelas Maret. This final report describes the activities undertaken during my internship program
at Jogja Translator, which commenced on February 3, 2025, and concluded on
March 25, 2025. This report aims to describe and
explain my activities at Jogja Translator,
especially the process of creating
bilingual tourist attraction articles for Jogja Translator’s website. During the internship, I was involved in three main
activities: “Creating a Bilingual Tourist-Attraction
Article”, “Translating the Abstract”, and “Translating an ID Card”. I created three destination
articles Yogyakarta. During the creation and translation process, I utilize
online dictionaries, Microsoft Word, Smartcat, and ProZ. These tools proved
invaluable in ensuring
accurate translations and maintaining
the actual purposes of legal documents. In my project, I discussed the
bilingual-articles creation, including pre-writing, writing, and post-writing.
Furthermore, I also discuss the translation process for several words,
including Kalurahan, Kapanewon, and Kabupaten, from
Javanese into Indonesian and English. I
close this report by providing a conclusion and recommendations. Ultimately,
this report highlights the significance of internships in demonstrating how the
industry operates, as well as providing a platform to enhance my practical
skills and knowledge within the translation industry. This report
highlights the relevance
of my studies in the English Diploma Program.
