This report is based on my three-month online internship at Pruf Ritz Communication Hub, which was part of the Student Internship Activity program from January 27 to April 19, 2025. This internship report describes the activities carried out at the internship site and the challenges faced during the internship practice. My main task during the internship was translating a circular resolution deed for the shareholders of PT X from Indonesian into English. I completed this project in three stages: preparation, translation, and evaluation. In the preparation stage, I detailed everything I did to prepare for the translation. The translation stage involves the actual process of translating the document. I followed the translation steps from Nida & Taber (1982): analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. The analysis stage involved understanding the source text’s meaning. In the transferring stage, I translated the meaning into English. I used online references and dictionaries to identify the proper context and suitable terms when encountering issues. The restructuring stage involved adapting the text in the target language to fit the context and the target reader's style. I reread the text and discussed it with my supervisor to ensure it was accurate, acceptable, and easy to understand. Finally, the evaluation stage covers the challenges I encountered and the feedback I received from my supervisor. This internship gave me many new experiences, such as translating different types of legal texts, ensuring consistency in using equivalent terms throughout my translations, and a deeper understanding of the world of professional translation and its processes.
