Kemampuan guru mengembangkan bahan instruksional ditinjau dari kemampuan guru menggunakan media pembelajaran, kemampuan menyusun strategi instruksional dan sikap terhadap profesi keguruan (SMP Negeri dan swasta kota Surakarta)

Abstract The aims of this recearch are to find out whether there is a significant positive correlation : (1) between the teacher’s ability to use the learning media and teacher’s ability to develop the instructional materials, (2) between the taeacher’s ability to arrange the inctructional strategies and the teacher’s ability to develop the instructional materials, (3) between the teacher’s attitudes on the education profession and teacher’s ability to develop the instructional materials, and (4) of the teacher’s ability to use the learning media and to arrange the learning strategies and the teacher’s attitude on the education profession towards the teacher’s ability to develop the instructional material’s. The research used a correlational descriptive method. It was conducted at State and Private Junior Secondary Schools in Surakarta from September to Novemver 2009. Its population was all of the 1.860 teachers of State and Private Junior Secondary Schools in Surakarta. The sampels of the research were taken by using a two-stage cluster random sampling. The number of samples was 30 teachers. The statistical test used a regression analysis technique. The pre-requisite tests of the research included linearity test, variance constant test, non-autocorrelation test, normality test. The calculation of the pre-requisite tests used a computer program of MINITAB. The results of analisys at the significance level of a = 0,05 are as follows. 1) There is significanct positive correlation between the teacher’s ability to use the learning media and the teacher’s ability to develop the instructional materials. The relative contribution of X1 is 18,1, and the effective crontribution of is X1 is 23,86. 2) There is significant positive correlation between the teacher’s ability to arangge the instructional strategies and the teacher’s ability to develop the instructional materials. The relative contribution of X1 is 28,0, and the effective contribution of X2 is 34,04. 3) There is significanct positive correlation between the teacher’s attitudes on the education profession and teacher’s ability to develop the instructional materials. The relative contribution of X3 is 16,7, and the effective contribution of X1 is 20,24. 4) There is a significanct positive correlation of the taacher’s attitudes on the education profession towards the teacher’s ability to develop the instructional materials.
