The sales of products in traditional retail businesses are increasingly growing with the presence of information technology. However, many traditional retail business owners have not yet utilized this technology effectively. Therefore, we have developed a Software as a Service (SaaS) based point of sales application to support Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in improving their business quality. The aim of this research is to help traditional retail owners enhance their business quality by providing effective and efficient technological solutions.
The method used in this research is a software development method that includes requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. The Point of Sales application developed uses web technology and runs on a SaaS platform that can be accessed via the internet. The features provided include sales transaction management, product management in the cart, and member management.
The application testing results show that the developed point of sales application can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their businesses by providing a more structured management system. Thus, this application becomes more competitive in an increasingly tight market. In conclusion, the development of a SaaS-based point of sales application can be an effective and efficient solution to support MSMEs in improving their business quality. This application can help traditional retail business owners become more competitive in an increasingly tight market.
