Pembelajaran biologi dengan group investigation dan cooperative integrated reading composition ditinjau dari minat dan kedisiplinan belajar siswa

ABSTRAK
Metode pembelajaran group investigation dan cooperative integrated reading composition merupakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif yang membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan pemahaman sehingga berpotensi untuk dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode Group Investigtion dan Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition dengan tinjauan minat dan kedisiplinan belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2009 sampai September 2009 dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP N I Colomadu tahun ajaran 2009/2010. Sampel yang digunakanan adalah kelas VIIIB dan VIIIC yang diambil secara cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunkan metode dokumentasi, angket dan tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan Anava tiga jalan dan dilanjutkan uji Scheffe.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Tidak ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran Group Investigation dan Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition terhadap prestasi belajar (F= 0.789 < Ftab), 2) Tidak ada pengaruh minat siswa terhadap prestasi belajar (F= 0.561 < Ftab) , 3) Tidak ada pengaruh kedisiplinan siswa terhadap prestasi belajar (F= 0.006 < Ftab), 4) Tidak ada interaksi antara minat siswa dengan metode pembelajaran Group Investigation dan Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition terhadap prestasi belajar (F= 2.547 < Ftab), 5) Ada interaksi antara kedisiplinan siswa dengan metode pembelajaran Group Investigation dan Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition terhadap prestasi belajar (F= 4.894 > Ftab), 6) Tidak ada interaksi antara minat siswa dengan kedisiplinan siswa terhadap prestasi belajar (F= 0.803 < Ftab), 7) Ada interaksi antara minat siswa dan kedisiplinan siswa dengan metode pembelajaran Group Investigation dan Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition terhadap prestasi belajar (F= 46.169 > Ftab. Implikasi terhadap pembelajaran yaitu pembelajaran lebih menarik, bermakna dan menjadikan siswa lebih aktif dalam proses belajar.

ABSTRACT
Group Investigation and Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition Learning Method is a cooperative learning method that can help the student in increasing comprehension to improve the student’s achievement. The aim of this research is to know the influence of Group Investigation and Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition Learning Methods, the student’s study interest and discipline to the student achievement.
The research was conducted on March 2009 to December 2009 by experimental method. The population of this research was all of students in grade VIII in SMP N I Colomadu academic year was 2009-2010. The sample was consisted of two classes VIIIB and VIIIC, and sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique. The data was collected using documentation, questionnaire, and test methods. Data was analyzed with tree way of Anova technique and continued by Scheffe.
The results of the research show that: 1) There is no effect of learning using group investigation and cooperative integrated reading composition toward student achievement (F = 0.789 < Ftab), 2) There is no effect of student’s learning interest toward student achievement (F = 0.561 < Ftab), 3) There is no effect of student’s learning discipline toward students achievement (F = 0.006 < Ftab), 4) There was no interaction between student’s learning interest with group investigation and cooperative integrated reading composition toward student achievement (F = 2.547 < Ftab), 5) There is an interaction between student’s learning discipline with group investigation and cooperative integrated reading composition toward student achievement (F = 4.894 > Ftab), 6) There is no interaction between student’s learning interest and student’s learning discipline toward students achievement (F = 0.803 < Ftab); 7) There is an interaction between student’s interest and student’s discipline with group investigation and cooperative integrated reading composition toward student achievement (F = 46.169 > Ftab). The implication to learning that is more interesting, meaningfull and that makes student more actif in learning process
