ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to determine: (1). Suitability differences between teaching styles and command the reciprocal teaching style of basketball shooting skills students Junior High School eighth grade son 2 Jatiroto Wonogiri 2010. (2). Teaching style is more appropriate effect between teaching style and command the reciprocal teaching style of basketball shooting ability of the son of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Jatiroto Wonogiri 2010.
The method used in this study is the experimental method. In this experimental study using group pretest - posttest design. The division of the group into two groups by way of "pairing of subject". The study population was the son of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Jatiroto Wonogiri year 2010 which amounted to 90 students, divided into five classes, while a sample taken a number of 30 students with a proportional random.
Data were analyzed using t test to look for differences. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that: (1). There are differences in commands and appropriateness of teaching styles reciprocal teaching style of basketball shooting skills at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri son two years Jatiroto Wonogiri 2010, because the value of t obtained by 2.566755, larger than ttable of 2.010. (2). Reciprocal teaching style is more appropriate than the teaching style of command to increase basketball shooting skills at the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri son two years Jatiroto Wonogiri 2010, because the average percentage increase in math are improving reciprocal teaching style better than the command style, the style reciprocal 71.794% and 30.952% commando style ..
